Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
(Matthew 6:9–13)
Where does a life of missional, fruitful, intentional, Kingdom blessing begin?
It begins in prayer. Our discernment of calling, our direction in mission, and our power in witness is designed to be rooted in a discipline of PRAYER. Prayer is the sap and substance of our daily life in Christ; it is in and through prayer that we access and appropriate the RESOURCES of Heaven, for the work and instigation of Heaven, here on earth.
From Easter through Pentecost this year, The Commons will be committing together to a season of intentional prayer.
In addition to regular opportunities to gather for corporate prayer, we have partnered with the 24-7 prayer movement to create a resource for organizing an ongoing, constant “tapestry”/concert of prayer for these weeks ahead. We would like to see how many hours a day we as a community might find a way to cover in prayer! For this purpose we’ve launched an interactive calendar specifically for The Commons, where individuals can sign up to indicate specific times that they will commit to spend in prayer for our church, community, and this season.
You can access the prayer calendar HERE.
"The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."
(Philippians 4:5–6)
If there is a request or concern you would like our prayer team to lift up in prayer during this season, feel free to let us know via the form below. It would be our honor and privilege to come before the throne of grace with you.
